Disney’s California Adventure theme park in Anaheim, California, (owned and operated by Walt Disney Company) is a high adventure, family themed park that offers both beauty and history. This 55 acre theme park consists of five areas, Sunshine Plaza, Hollywood Pictures Backlog, The Golden State, A Bug’s Land and Paradise Pier. Each area is a representation of a piece of California culture and history.
Walk into the fabulous park and find yourself in the middle of a postcard perfect picture as you are standing under a replica of the Golden Gate Bridge. This first area is Sunshine Plaza. There are plenty of great hotels to stay at when you visit Disney Land. You will want to book your hotel reservation in Anaheim early to get great room rates.
Next, Paradise Pier will have you jumping for joy as this part of the park has carnival style amusement including a 160 foot Ferris Wheel called Mickey’s Ferris Wheel.
Visitors will then enter into the park’s Golden State. Soar over California on a hang glider ride or be swept down the river to Grizzly Peak on the Grizzly River Run.
Suddenly, the visitors find themselves stepping into a Hollywood picture in the Hollywood Picture Backlot. Enjoy the movie themed attractions and feel like a movie star.
Last, but certainly not least is A Bug’s Land. Based on the Disney/Pixar movie A Bug’s Life, visitors feel as though they are a bug as everything is huge. This area has many attractions that are geared toward children including Filk’s Flyers and Ladybug Boogie.
