Knott’s Berry Farm, established by Walter Knott in 1940 is a 160 acre theme park in Buena Park, California. The park is known as America’s first theme park.
The Ghost Town is the oldest part of the park is home to the Ghostrider. This 118 foot tall wooden roller coaster is one of the longest, tallest wooden roller coasters in the nation. Visitors can take a ride on the scenic Railroad or pan for gold. Other attractions include the Boomerang. This upside down, head spinning coaster flips you up and then back down, upside down six times. Just when you thing it is all over….BOOMERANG…it does it all over again, this time…backwards! Montezuma’s Revenge opened in 1978 and hurls the passengers through a loop that is seven stories tall. The Xcelerator reaches a speed of 82 mph in 1.8 seconds.
